On Friday, May 4, the girls varsity golf team played at Lincoln Valley in Marshalltown. The team ended up placing seventh.
Emma Griffin placed first in the meet and had an 89. Ashlynn Sporrer placed eighth and had her personal best of a 98.
Overall the meet went well, and the team did well on staying focus.
“We will still continue to work on our short game,” said Coach Mike Lawler. “Working on short game will help us deduct strokes.”
