The JV boys’ basketball team played Saydel at home on Tuesday, January 30. The boys played well and took the win with a score of 54-19.
Brayden Bottorf had a great game with 11 points, making five free throws. Anthony Ellis and Jarrett Fredin played well scoring 10 points each, followed by sophomore Chase Lycke scoring nine points by three pointers.
Coach Greg Baethke said, “I feel the team at this time is playing their best basketball of the season. The biggest difference in our success is the way we are playing defense.”
The Cubs are 7-0 since Christmas break and have held their opponents to 30 points a game.
Coach Baethke said, “I feel like all the players on the team are showing improvement in all areas of the game.”
Before their next game, Coach Baethke says he would like to continue to improve on the teams individual skills as well as the team’s aspect of the game.
