On Tuesday, January 23 the Nevada varsity boys basketball team beat the Prairie City Monroe Mustangs 71-54.
“Our defensive effort in the second and third quarters was tremendous, in particular I really liked our man defense, our ability to stop penetration of the lane and help each other was huge,” said Head Coach Chris Hinson.
The team did was very aggressive when it came to loose balls or taking charges.
On the offensive side of the game, Trent Stahl led the team with 25 points,including five three pointers in the first half.
Om’Unique Wilkerson also had a good game. He ended with 17 points.
