On Thursday, December 21, the Nevada 7th grade girls basketball team took on Roland Story in their final game of the season. The results of the A game did not end in the Cubs’ favor with a 45-12 loss. They did a good job in the first quarter finishing with a score of 9-6.
Coach Gray and Coach Long thought the girls took good shots and did a good job of rebounding. During the second quarter, though, they lost control and the Norseman were able to pull away, leaving the first half with a score of 38-10. Even though they were down, the team kept their heads up and played hard the rest of the game.
The B team ended up coming out with a win, with a score of 31-23. They played hard defense and were able to run their offense efficiently. In the fourth quarter, they were able to force some steals which was a key aspect of their run towards the end.
