On Monday, December 18, the JV boys basketball team played West Marshall at State Center. Coach Greg Baethke felt all the players played a very hard fought game.
The key moment in the game was the last 2 minutes of the game. The Cubs were down and fought back to get the game tied and then Brayden Bottorf came up with a big steal and was fouled. He was able to make 1 free throw allowing the team to come away with a 1 point win.
Coach Baethke felt that both teams played a very good game. “When two good teams play, you can expect the game to go back and forth and go down to the final horn to decide the game.” Coach Baethke felt that his players fought the entire game and never gave up which gave them the chance to win the game at the end, 52-53.
