The Nevada Cubs varsity girls basketball team took on the Gilbert Tigers Friday, December 8. The Cubs came out with the victory over the Tigers, 43-25. Kacie Rewerts had 16 points to lead the Cubs for the night, followed by Lexy Koudelka who had 14.
“We did a nice job on the defensive end, which led to some nice transition offense opportunities,” Coach Tony Neubauer said of his team. He also said that the Cubs need to get better at taking care of the ball, while getting better at executing their half court offense.
The Cubs take on the PCM Mustangs next. Look for the Cubs to come out gunning on offense in that game.
