On December 8th, the freshman girls team took on the Gilbert Tigers. They ended up winning 33-26 as Coach Uthe was very pleased with the team’s effort when they tried a different press.
Sydney Mosinski racked up 10 points in only three quarters and Katelyn Kingsbury scored six points all off of three pointers.
A big turning point in the game was when they were down 14-20 in the third quarter and they went on a 15-0 run to go up 29-20.
Before their next game, the team is wanting to work on being more careful with the ball at the end of games to avoid costly turnovers. Overall the team played really well and they hope to continue that trend in their next game.
