On September 21st, Nevada’s JV football team took on the challenge of playing a larger school and dominated Marshalltown, winning 42-28.
“Coach Uethe and I were pleased how the boys took on the challenge of playing a 4A team,” Coach Brooke Thompson said.
The offense was led by quarterback Noah Mills, receiver Drew Robinson, and running back Karter Beving. The offensive line had a major impact on the game, holding their blocks and surging off of the line.
The defense had an exceptional game, creating chaos in the backfield and forcing many turnovers.
Some individual highlights of the game include defensive end Connor Schnettgoecke forcing two fumbles and Carson Rhodes intercepting a screen pass. Colin Memmer and Drew Robinson each had one interception.
The JV team finished up their season with a win over Carlisle at home on Monday, October 5.
