The Nevada JV girls cross countryteam took on a tough challenge against some very good competition, September 21st in Humboldt Iowa. The course was a 5K, or 3.1 miles.
Placing the highest for her team at 13th, Briar Crain completed her run in just over 27 minutes.
Coach Shawn Crain, gave some input on how he thought his team did Monday. “It was our first time running the Humboldt course, and it was very challenging with steep and sandy hills. We ran against some tough competition from northern Iowa that we don’t typically see, and still managed to place 8th out of 18.”
The JV team has been doing very well this season and plans to keep that going next week at their conference meet at Saydel.
