On December 4, the 8th grade girls played in Jefferson against the Greene County Rams. The Cubs won easily, 36-17. Nevada set the tone in the first quarter with their man-to-man defense allowing them to jump out to a 16-1 lead. Leading scorers were Maddie Dunham-8, Alex Arnaud-8, and Ella Higgins-8. Other scorers were Mayzi Weig-6,Elie Tuhn-4, Hannah Walderna-4. A team’s record improved to 4-2 on the season.
The B team also won in a very tight game, 11-10. Because Greene County had limited players, the B team only played a half. Leading scorers were Savannah Skaggs-5, Hannah Walderna -4, and Tessa Borwick-2. The B teams record now is 6-0.
The Cubs will return for a home game on December 5 against PCM.
