The Nevada JV girls softball team played Iowa Falls-Alden on Wednesday, May 22, at home. The girls won the game 11-3. The girls played a really hard game and communicated well as a team.
Coach Corey Barloon said, “The Nevada JV played well against Iowa Falls. The Cubs had a big second inning, scoring six runs and propelling them to a 11-4 victory. The Cubs will continue to improve as the season progresses and do some great things this season.”
The girls have really been working on their mindfulness. Mindfulness is when the player focus on their breathing in order to calm them down and bring them back into the game. They girls used that, along with other teamwork skills to win a good game.
The JV team is now 2-0. They play next on Thursday, June 6, against Colo-NESCO.
