On Friday, December 1, the Nevada Cubs JV boys basketball team took on the North Polk Comets. The Cubs pulled away from the Comets near the end of the first quarter, and after that, it was domination by the Cubs, as they ended up winning 70-54. The leading scorer for the Cubs was Kody Kruschwitz.
Coach Greg Baethke said that they did a nice job playing defense for the first three quarters and running the offense. He thinks that they could limit some more turnovers that they had, even though it was their first game. Another thing the Cubs need to do is play defense the whole game, not just the first three quarters. But Coach Baethke said overall he was happy with the performance his team put on.
