On November 30, the 8th grade girls basketball team played at Roland Story. Roland Story won 42-26. Roland Story’s team was very athletic and fast. Their pressure defense forced the young Cubs to play faster than what they were comfortable with. The halftime score was 10-24, Roland Story.
The Cubs started making adjustments and started learning from their mistakes as they cut down the Norsemen’s lead to five in the third quarter.
The individual scorers were Alex Arnaud-9 points, Savannah Skaggs-5 points, Ellie Higgins-5 points, Mayzi Weig-4 points, and Maddie Dunham-2 points.The A Team’s overall record is 3-2.
The Cubs won the B game 25-15. The Cubs had two important shooters, McKinley Spaid and Jessica Smith, spark the win. Jessica and McKinley both had 5 points, Hannah Waldera-5 points, Ellie Higgins-2 points, and Mayzi Weig-6 points. The B team’s season record right now is 5-0.
