The girls varsity track team competed in a meet in front of their home crowd on Monday, May 6th. Overall the girls placed second while scoring 135.5 points. Boone finished in first place with 145 points.
The top place winners were as follows:
200m dash 1st place, Hannah Thomsen: 27.40
3000m 1st place, Ellie Tuhn: 11:48:06
3000m 2nd place, Eliana Hornbuckle: 12:13:65
1500m 3rd place, Ellie Tuhn: 5:36:87
Discus 3rd place, Addi Vorm: 97-01
High Jump 4th place, Samara Willson-Howar: 4-06.00
Long Jump 4th Place, Eleanor Elliott-Rude: 14-05.50
The Cubs ran their 4×1 in 52.62 seconds to come out in first place. The 4×2 team finished in 4th place, recording a time of 2:01:17. The 4×4 team finished fourth with a time of 4:44.91. The 800 Sprint Medley team finished second with a time 1:57.56.
This was the last regular season track meet for the girls for the season. The girls who qualified for state will be running on Friday, May 17th.
