The Nevada girls varsity soccer team won their game against Greene County on Tuesday, April 23th. The girls played an amazing game, crushing Greene County 10-0.
Coach Randy Davis said, “It was definitely a good win for us, the only unfortunate part of that game was losing an extremely talented player, Kayla Dunson, to an ACL injury.”
Addi Vorm, Maddie Stevens, Meredith Harter, Amanda Fortmann, Tessa Borwick, and Alex Arnaud all had goals in the game. Mayzi Weig and Kayla Dunson both score two goals a piece. Fortmann led assists with five, while Weig came in a close second with four.
Arnaud said, “We knew the team was very inexperienced, and we knew that that would be a big advantage for us. So we took that knowledge, and we played our hardest to beat them.”
The girls play at home on Tuesday, May 14, against North Polk.
