On Friday May 3, the Nevada girls middle school track team ran really well at the North Polk meet. This was conference, and it was a big deal for the team.
Emma Strottman ran a PR with a time of 1:04.7 400 split in the distance medley. Mady Gibson, Reagan Davis, Emma Strottman, and Tori Meinecke combined to break the school record in that same relay 4:45.17.
Graci Schiller set her a PR in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.65. Avery Hinson broke 70 in an open 400 for the first time this year with a 1:09.3, and Natalie Barber broke 3:00 in an 800 split with a 2:58.2.
“Despite only one first place finish, we had some really good performances and a really good meet,” said Coach Lori Stephenson.
The middle school girls track team ended the season on Monday, May 6, at Boone.
