The Nevada girls varsity soccer team won their game against Collins Maxwell on Friday, April 19th. The girls played really strong, and they worked really well as a team.
Mayzi Weig, Meredith Harter, and Kayla Dunson all scored for Nevada. Weig also had an assist. Erica Sporrer had four saves on goal.
Coach Randy Davis said, “Overall another good performance by the girls. Collins – Maxwell is a much improved team and made us work hard the entire game. I was really happy how we came out the first half with urgency and scored early in the game. In the second half the defense really settled in. Savannah Skaggs really started controlling the middle, connecting her passes, and taking away any dangerous attacks by C-M.
The varsity girls won the game 3-1 against Collins-Maxwell. They are now 8-3. Their next game is on Saturday, May 11, at their home tournament.
