The Nevada varsity girls soccer team played at Ballard on April 15. The girls won 3-2.
Goals were scored by Amanda Fortmann, Maddie Stevens and Mayzi Weig, and Erica Sporrer had five saves on the day.
Coach Randy Davis said, “Ballard came out hungry with some attitude to beat us. They outworked us the first half, winning most 50/50 balls. In the second half we turned up our intensity tring to make Ballard uncomfortable and to make some mistakes we could take advantage of. Once we started winning the ball in our offensive half we started seeing some success and notched goals in a span of about 10 minutes.
The girls play at Clear Lake on Thursday, April 30th.
