The varsity girls track team placed fourth on Thursday, April 4th, at the Nevada track meet.
It was the Cubs’ fourth meet.
Nevada placed high in multiple events, including first places in the distance medley, ran by Tessa Borwick, Sydney Mosinski, Hannah Thomsen, and Kacie Rewerts with a time of 4.31.95 and Addi Vorm in the discus with 109’ 8.75” and in the shot put with 34’ 2”.
In the 4×200, ran by Borwick, Mosinski, Caitlyn Sharp, and Thomsen, Nevada placed second with a time of 1:54.30,
Nevada also placed second in the 4×100, which was ran by Borwick, Caitlyn Sharp, Emily Plate, and Thomsen.
Finally, Kacie Rewerts placed second in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5.06.17.
“The girls had a good show at their home meet with Addi Vorm who had a personal best placing 1st in the shot and discus,” said Coach Ted Johnson. “It was great job all around Thursday night at our home meet. There’s still a lot of room for improvement but early season wise we are heading in the right direction.”
Other personal bests for the night included the 4×100, 4×200, shuttle hurdle and 4×800 relay teams, Bailey Crain in the discus and Kacie Rewerts in the 1500.
