The Nevada JV girls basketball team beat the PCM Mustangs in a low scoring battle, 15-9, on January 17th.
Despite the low score and only having six girls on the roster, the Cubs were able to come out with a win and a great learning experience.
“We played excellent defense and got some turnovers with our press. We were short handed with only six girls, but we were able to play the way we wanted to. I thought we moved the ball well on offense but shots just weren’t falling for us,” stated Coach Scott Uthe.
The scorers for the Cubs were Ella Higgins with six points, Katelyn Kingsbury with five, and Tessa Borwick with four points.
The JV girls play again on Thursday, January 31 at Roland-Story.
