On Thursday, January 3, the freshman boys basketball team took on West Marshall at home. They beat the Trojans by a big score of 63-34.
Freshman James Edwards led the team with 14 points and Connor Schnettgoecke had 10. Everyone that played scored at least two points.
“We were a little sluggish out of the gate offensively with only 12 points in the first quarter since we were just coming back from break,” said Coach Jon Kruse. “We picked it up in second quarter with 27 points and still held them to 14.”
The Cubs’ solid defense helped them build a big lead on the Trojans.
The Cubs take on Saydel at home on Friday, January 11.
