On Friday, January 4th, the Nevada varsity boys basketball team played Gilbert and lost 50-80. Nevada’s record for this season is 4-6.
The leading scorers for the game were Tyler Sansgaard with 16 points, Brayden Bottorf with nine points, and Henry Nelson with 6 points.
“Gilbert was a really good team,” said Coach Struck. “They had a fast pace on both offense and defense. We did pretty well to handle Gilbert’s fast pace and our defense was good,” said Coach Tyler Struck. “Some of the things we need to work on are transitions and shooting the ball.”
The team’s next game is against Newton home on Tuesday, January 8th.
