On Friday, January 4, Nevada’s varsity girls basketball team competed on their home court against Gilbert. The game ended in a tough loss for Nevada, 32-56.
Addi Vorm was the leading scorer and rebounder for Nevada. Vorm scored over half of the team’s points with a personal total of 18 and had five rebounds. Kacie Rewerts followed Vorm in points and rebounds with a total of eight points and four rebounds.
Coach Jordan Bentley said, “I think as a team we have a great attitude and continue to work hard every day in practice along with being excited to play games.”
Coach Bentley also thinks that the team needs to continue to work on transitioning from offense to defense, along with finishing shots on offense.
Nevada’s record is now 4-9, and they look forward to their next home game on Tuesday, January 8, against Newton.
