On Thursday, December 13, the Nevada JV and varsity wrestling team traveled to Saydel to wrestle against Coon Rapids Bayard, Greene County and Saydel.
The Cubs beat Coon Rapids Bayard but fell to Saydel and the Rams of Greene County.
Nevada lost to Greene County 12-65 due to forfeits from missing weights. The Cubs also lost to the Eagles of Saydel 24-54. But, Nevada did beat Coon Rapids Bayard 43-42.
Some key matches to the Cubs’ success against Coon Rapids Bayard included pins by Jay Calentine at the 170 weight, Holden Fry at 220, Camden Vincent at 285 and Jacob MacVey at 195.
The Cubs resume their schedule after winter break.
