The undefeated Nevada Cubs 9th grade boys basketball team headed to North Polk Wednesday, December 11th, to face the Comets.
The game started off pretty slow offensively for the boys, but their defense was great right off the jump. The game ended up 54-35. The boys had a goal to hold the other team to 30 points total, and they came pretty close.
Connor Schnettgoecke was a leading player in the game with 18 points, followed up by James Edwards and Colin Memmer with 10 points each. They led the team to a good win, and they stayed undefeated.
“We are 6-0 with two back-to-back games before break. We need to finish the first part of the season strong by being mentally ready to play two games within 22 hours of each other,” said Coach Kruse.
The boys play next against Bondurant on Monday, December 17.
