This years girls’ basketball goals are to get better everyday throughout the season, as well as to compete for the Heart of Iowa Conference Championship and make a return trip to the state tournament.
Varsity has some great kids who have been working hard and have been in a lot of big experiences in multiple sports. Coach Tony Neubauer thinks defense and rebounding will be a strong part in the upcoming season.
Last year, all three of the starting guards graduated, so he’ll need to figure out who will step into those roles.
Coach Neubauer is looking forward to playing Boone as well as North Polk and Roland-Story because of how talented they are.
