The Nevada Cubs JV Football team took on the Southeast Polk Sophomore team on Monday, September 17th.
“We battled and did some nice things on both sides of the ball on Monday night, but the Class 4A Southeast Polk Sophomore team was too much for us,” said Coach Tyler Struck.
The Cubs lost 42 to 14. The Cubs had a lot of good drives but could not convert on key plays against the tough Southeast Polk defense. The Cubs had an offensive touchdown and a special teams touchdown. Lucas Rogers scored both touchdowns.
“Although it was a loss for the Cubs, a lot was learned from the contest vs such a good opponent and hopefully will be a building block for the JV team moving into the last part of their season,” said Coach Tyler Struck.
The Cubs take on South Hamilton next Monday on September 24th.
