On Monday, September 24, Nevada played at South Hamilton and lost 14-30.
Nevada started off really well, scoring off the first play of the game. Nevada was able to get the ball again and score, making the score 14-0.
After going back and forth, South Hamilton was able to get some points on the board and scored three touchdowns with two point conversions on each one. The score was 22-14.
Nevada got the ball to start the fourth quarter but was unable to generate anymore points. South Hamilton was stopped by the defense until the final minute when they put in one final touchdown to seal their victory.
Coach Tyler Struck said, “The defense and offense played really well for most of the game but just didn’t make enough big plays to get the win.”
The Cubs play again on Monday, October 1 at Benton Community.
