On Thursday, September 6th, the 7th grade football boys traveled to PCM for their season opener.
The Nevada boys crushed PCM 20-8. PCM started with a fast pace and scored a touchdown against Nevada. Coach Karl Corbin said the boys recovered nicely by scoring their first touchdown right after that.
The Cubs then scored another and Corbin said that was when they started having fun. The high scorer for Nevada was Alec Higgins with two touchdowns. Cason Stephenson was a main component for Nevada with his big hits. Parker Peterson, Sam Hanson, Will Palmer also had big hits for Nevada.
Over all Corbin was very pleased with the way his team performed with not very many penalties. “The boys made a lot of improvements from day one to the first game,” Coach Corbin added.
The boys will play at Cub Stadium on Thursday against Greene County.
