On Tuesday, May 29th, the varsity baseball team traveled to East Marshall and won 22-10.
Many boys had great at-bats, with Trent Stahl having four hits, Jack Higgins and Bronzon Mason both having three, and Cam Shill, Kyle Bauman, Brock Dutton, and James Carsrud all having two hits each. Cam Shill and Jack Higgins had five RBI’s as well.
The boys were not only successful in the box. The pitchers all played very well, decreasing their team ERA to 2.06. Cam Shill and Carter Franzen both had five strikeouts, Brock Dutton and James Carsrud had four each, Jack Higgins had three, and Preston Cattanach had two.
The Cubs were also very aggressive on the base path. Trent Stahl had 3 stolen bases, Cam Shill, Kyle Bauman, and Thomas Crawford had two each, and Brock Dutton, Jack Higgins, Bronzon Mason, Dennis Garcia all had one stolen base.
The varsity boys’ baseball team plays again tonight, June 1st, at home against Greene County.
