The Nevada boys varsity soccer team played at home against Bondurant-Farrar Blue Jays on Monday, May 13. This was the last regular-season home game and was Senior Night. The weather conditions were near perfect which helped the Cubs get back on a winning track with a 5-3 win.
Max Hoffman goalkeeper commented, “We played a great game we played as a team for our final home game, and we came out with a big win against a ranked opponent.”
Some of the offensive highlights for the Cubs included Kody Kruschwitz with a hat trick (three goals), Taylor Maiefski with one goal, and Devin See with a goal and an assist. Jose Buenrostro had two assists.
On the defensive side of the game, keeper Max Hoffman had a great game having saved 11 shots on the goal.
The Cubs play in the district semi-finals Wednesday, May 22, at North Polk at 5:00.
