On Monday, May 6, the middle school girls track team ran at the Little Toreador Meet in Boone. The girls ran well and had a good night.
The shuttle hurdle relay team with Tori Meinecke, Cassidi Bartmess, Graci Schiller, and Kylie Taylor ran a new Little Toreador meet record.
Mady Gibson, Reagan Davis, Meinecke, and Emma Strottman ran the 4×200 meter relay and set a new school record in 1:59.8.
Taylor, Davis, Gibson, and Strottman ran the sprint medley relay and set a new school record in 2:05.00
“We kind of ran out of season here at the end,” said Coach Lori Stephenson. “The girls were really peaking, and it would have been nice to have had a few more dates on our schedule. But, it’ll be fun practicing and competing next year with the younger girls. I think they learned a lot about running and themselves, and it’ll be fun to see what they can accomplish in 2020.”
This was the last meet for the team, and the seventh grade team is excited for next year to break some more records.
