On Monday, April 29, the girls junior high track team traveled to South Hamilton to take on West Marshall, North Polk, Baxter, and South Hamilton on a nice evening.
Emma Strottman finished first in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.84.
Allison Kruzich placed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:07.16.
Kylie Taylor won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.5.
Tori Meinecke finished second in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:35.7.
Avery Hinson finished second in the 200 meter hurdles with a time of 33.6.
Hinson got second for the high jump with a height of 4-02.00.
Nevada finished second in the 4×100 relay with a time of 55.13. Maddie Gibson, Reagan Davis, Tori Meinecke, Emma Strottman set a new school record with this time.
Nevada won the 4×800 relay. Meinecke, Gibson, Hinson, and Kruzich finished with 11:30.2.
Nevada finished second in the shuttle hurdle with a time of 1:26.05. The team consisted of Cassidi Bartmess, Madi Cox, Mallory Mills and Graci Schiller.
Lori Stephenson spoke highly of her athletes, “It was a great night to run, and the girls did a great job of improving their times. Allison Kruzich set a new PR in the 400 meter dash, and Kylie Taylor set a new PR in 100 meter hurdles. Tori Meinecke took 20 second off her time for the 1500 meter. Emma Strottman set a new pr for the 100 meter dash, as well as the long jump.”
The middle school girls track season has ended for the year.
