On Friday, April 19, the JV girls for Nevada took a 3-0 win against Collins-Maxwell.
The girls controlled the game with accurate passing and winning tackles. This allowed Nevada to maintain possession for longer stretches in the game.
Nevada had 13 shots and eight shots that were on goal. The three goal scorers were Kelly Beals, Paige Solie and Alex Arnaud. Paige Solie, Katelyn Kingsbury and Jessica Myers all got an assist.
For defense, the JV girls did very well. The defensive group was Maddie Dunham, Chloe Henry, Hannah Waldera, Mylie Bleeker, Megan Wessels and Amelia Jones. The defense played a good game, stopping Collins-Maxwell’s limited attacking opportunities.
“It was a total team performance with everyone that played contributing to the successful outcome. We challenge the girls to get better everyday, and so far they are continuing to demonstrate that’s what they are doing. They have conceded just one goal on the season and that takes everyone working together to make that happen,” said Coach Mark Rhodes.
Everyone will continue to watch the Nevada JV girls gain many more victories against other teams. The girls play next at ADM on Monday, April 29.
