On Tuesday, April 16, the Cubs JV boys golf team traveled to Panorama for a chance to play on a premier course. The Cubs had an off day, but showed room for growth and improvement.
The team was limited to only a few players, but that didn’t stop them from working on their shot.
William Carsrud finished fifth overall, shooting a 46.
Coach Ryan Brown said, “Panoram National is a challenging course. This was a good opportunity for our developing players to experience playing and competing on a premier course.” He also commented that Caleb Gilchrist showed good improvement.
Kuemper finished first, scoring 187, Des Moines Christian came in second with 187 (had 5th golfer), Panorama Blue finished third with 201, South Central Calhoun placed fourth scoring 223, Coon Rapids-Bayard came in fifth with 228, Panorama White placed sixth with 230, and Nevada finished seventh shooting 266.
