On Tuesday, April 2, the Nevada girls golf team played at Tournament Club of Iowa. It was a triangular on a championship course. Ogden and North Polk were the other two teams to play. It was also the first meet of the season for the girls.
Emma Griffin was the meet medalist with a 46. Kelby Rewerts and Ashlynn Sporrer tied for runner up.
Nevada won with a team score of 215. North Polk had a 255, and Ogden finished with a 261.
“For the first meet of the year, at a championship course, we were pleased with the outcome and looked forward to the rest of the season,” said Coach Mike Lawler.
The girls golf team has a lot of talent and everyone looks forward to seeing them succeed again.
