The Nevada boys track team ran at the ADM Relays on Tuesday, April 2. The team placed fifth, but they had some notable performances on the night.
Individual event winner for Nevada was Joven Nelson in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.84. Caeden Da Silva finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.97. Sam Abraham jumped 19’ 06.05” landing him in second in the long jump.
For the team events the 4×200 meter team of Da Silva, Abraham, Jakob Strottman, and Nelson got first with a time of 1:32.59. Dylan Jenson joined the team of Da Silva, Strotman, and Nelson to clench a win in the 4×100 race with a time of 44.38.
Coach Jon Pelzer said, “I was pretty happy about the two meet records: Joven in the 400 meter hurdles and the 4×2 team.”
