The boys varsity soccer team traveled to DCG to take on the Mustangs on Monday, April 1st. The boys played a hard game but ended their season opener with loss with a score of 1-2.
The goal for the Cubs was set up with an assist from Jose Buenrrostro and the scoring finish by Taylor Maiefski.
“I was very pleased with the way our team played on Monday night,” said Head Coach Todd Sampson.
“This season we are playing a new formation, and we have a few new players playing varsity minutes, so we just wanted to go and perform well against a ranked class 2A team.”
The Cubs are hoping to improve on first touches and their passing to make the most out of their possessions.
The Cubs will play again at PCM on Tuesday, April 9.
