The boys varsity basketball team traveled to Ballard and played Bondurant-Farrar on Monday, February 18. The boys lost 47-59.
“I was pretty happy with our defense. We had a good game plan, and I thought we made them take some difficult shots,” said Coach Tyler Struck. “We had some pretty good rebounds, and at times I was really proud of the defensive skills that our boys were showing.”
Tyler Sansgaard score a total of 21 points, making him the leading scorer of the game. Devin See scored six points.
“Tyler was definitely a huge contribution to our offense. He scored eight of the 13 first points, and he really kept their defense moving,” said Struck.
The Cubs were 8-13 this season. Coach Struck had a few words for the seniors this year, “I know how hard it can be for seniors with a first year coach like me, but I just wanted to say thank you. You guys really helped lead the team, and you were outstanding friends and teammates. We really are going to miss you next year.”
We can’t wait to see what the boys have in store for up next year.
