The 9th grade boys basketball team played the Norsemen at Roland-Story. The Cubs won in a well-played game with a score of 51-31.
Ty Dittmer had a standout performance with 17 points.
Even with a slow start the Cubs were able to pull away and get the job done. With only a one point difference in the first and second quarter, the boys had to change the tempo somehow.
“It was a tight game until we put our press on in the third quarter, and we got some steals and the energy took off with that,” stated Coach Jon Kruse.
With the press in place, the Cubs were able to start pulling away with a 17-0 run in the third quarter.
The boys were able to walk away with a great team win and improved to a record of 15-3. The 9th grade boys play again on February 11th at Boone.
