The JV girls basketball team won their basketball game 34-14 against Greene County on January 15.
They got out to a 17 to 0 lead and played a outstanding game. The only allowed Greene County to score 14 points the whole game.
Savannah Skaggs was the leading scorer for the game with seven points. Tessa Borwick had five points.
They played all 14 JV girls so everyone had a chance to play.
¨Playing so many kids and mixing up the line ups messed with our team chemistry a little bit,¨ said Coach Scott Uthe ¨But, we play really well when we can press and that helped us get out to a big lead. Then, we got a little complacent in the second half when we took off the press and didn’t extend our lead like we should have.”
The JV girls basketball team play at Gilbert on February 1.
