The Nevada Cub JV girls had an exciting first game at home after a long winter break on Friday, January 4. It was a hard fought game against the Gilbert Tigers, but it ended 44-46 with a tough, close loss for the Cubs.
The first quarter was very close and competitive, then during the second quarter Gilbert put on a tight press and changed the flow of the game to their benefit. At half the Cubs were down 13. The Cubs made a great effort to bring the game back and ended up only losing by two points in the end.
Some key players in the game were Kayla Dunson with 14 points and Ella Higgins with 10.
