On Thursday, December 20, the Nevada middle school wrestling team traveled to Gilbert for their meet. The Cubs won 26 matches and lost 29. Wrestlers who did well that night were Matt Sallee, Kaden Weber, Caleb Sutherland, Gage Biebland, Daniel Linderman, and Nate Anderson. One of the Cubs’ wrestlers had an outstanding year: Edgar Cabrera finished the season undefeated.
“We started the year slow, but we improved a lot by the last meet,” said Coach Carl Corbin.
Coach Corbin also said, ”This was a great bunch of kids to work with, and hopefully the eighth grade wrestlers will go out in high school and the seventh graders go out next year.”
This was the last meet of the season for the Cubs.
