The Nevada Cubs JV boys basketball headed down to the Wells Fargo Arena for a great game against Greene County on December 18.
The game ended up in a great Cub victory 67-33, moving the JV Cubs to 6-3 for the season so far.
The boys held Greene County to just 15 at half, and on offense it was even better ending with a 56% shooting percentage from the field and 39% from the 3.
The whole team scored really well and found open guys. Some top scorers were Jarret Fredin with 11 points, Chase Lycke with 11 points and James Edwards with 10 points. They also had great rebounding; Henry Nelson had 9 and Jaret Fredin had 7.
“The boys played very well as a team, even under the pressure of playing in the Well, and I was surprised because most teams don’t hold up to the pressure of their first time playing in the Well,” said Coach Greg Baethke.
They play next January 4th, against Gilbert at home.
