On Thursday, December 13, the freshman girls team won a close game against Humboldt 43-40.
The girls played great defensively with a new defensive strategy. The girls also played great on offense with their ball movement.
At half, the girls were down by nine, and they switched up the defense a little and played zone. The new strategy put the team back into the game for a chance to win.
Kayla Dunson was the leading scorer with 19 points, followed by Hannah Waldera with eight.
The girls will play next on Thursday, December 20 at home against West Marshall.
