On December 13, the middle school wrestling team ended their night at Greene County on a very high note. The team as a whole won fifteen matches and lost fifteen, but overall they looked much better than at the last meet.
“Overall we did the things we should be doing to win. We were down a few wrestler for injuries and other issues, but over all, the ones that did wrestle did a great job,” said Coach Karl Corbin.
The team improved a lot during practices and earlier meets, helping them do better than at previous meets. Some standouts on the night were Emanuel Rico who won two matches, and Calvin Franzen and Kaden Weber who had very good nights as well.
The Cubs hope to keep improving and look better as the season continues. Their next meet is on December 20, at Saydel.
