The Nevada 7th grade girls basketball team played Gilbert on Monday, December 12.
The A team came up short, losing 12-27, and the B team had a great win, 25-12.
“The Gilbert team was very scrappy, and we had a hard time getting our shots to fall,” said Coach Jill Gray.
The Cubs had many great shots but couldn’t get them to fall in the hoop. The Cubs still need to improve on shooting and being aggressive.
“We tend to let a lot of loose balls go to our opponents,” said Coach Gray.
Defensively, the Cubs need to work on talking and helping their teammates.
The Cubs’ next game is on Thursday, December 20 against Roland Story.
