The Nevada High School wrestling team had their first tournament of the season on Saturday, December 1. Overall the team wrestled well.
Nevada’s Jacob MacVey had a good day placing sixth overall in the 220 weight class. Nate Dumbaugh placed eighth at 113. Dominick Garcia, who wrestled at 120, and Jay Calentine, who wrestled at 170, both wrestled very well but came up short.
“We learned a lot from this weekend tournament, from where we’re at now and how much more work we need to do,” said Coach Ferguson.
