On Friday, November 30, Nevada’s girls varsity basketball team took on Roland-Story at home. Nevada wasn’t able to pull out a win and lost, 26-42.
Nevada’s leading scorers were Riley Mailey with 11 points and Kacie Rewerts with seven.
Sophomore Addisyn Vorm said, “Roland-Story’s press showed us that press breaking is something we need to continue to work on in practices.”
During the first half of the game, Nevada played their best, but struggled to take care of the ball the entire game.
Coach Jordan Bentley said, “I look forward to us gaining more confidence as the season goes on.”
This loss brings the the Cubs varsity girls record to 0-4. Nevada is eager to win their first game against Saydel Tuesday night in Des Moines.
