The 9th grade girls basketball team maintained a perfect record after playing the Roland-Story on Monday night, beating the Norseman substantially 51-21. With a slow start in the first quarter of the game, it wasn’t until the rest of the game that Nevada started to shine.
“We had a team goal to get everyone to score. They worked hard and accomplished that goal,” said Coach Scott Uthe.
With scoring being balanced throughout the game, the team did an awesome job making shots, with freshmen Ellie Tuhn and Hannah Waldera leading the scorers with ten points each.
“They played well as a team. I thought that they really worked hard to accomplish their goal,” said Coach Uthe.
The Cubs will look to improve on their 4-0 start of the season, when they face Indianola at Indianola High School on Thursday, December 6th, at 6 PM.
